Tchiya joined the Technion 2 years ago, to establish and manage the Israeli Smart Transportation Research Center (ISTRC). The Center is designed to promote cutting edge knowledge and human capital development in the field of smart transportation.
Tchiya’s perspective is based on relevant education and vast experience from the world’s leading high-tech/semiconductors corporates, holding global management positions as Head of Global Technology Learning and Innovation Academy, Applied Materials, Silicon Valley, and Head of Global University, Applied Materials Israel, in which she collaborated with consortia, innovation centers & academies around the globe. Following a decade in Intel, in which she led pioneering strategic initiatives involving state-of-the-art technologies, among them the establishment of eLearning & multimedia domain for training in Israel, Intel’s strategic Extended Education Programs (for degrees) tailored for employees’ upskilling and reskilling, the first internal portal, and the learning development domain.
Tchiya recently worked as a senior consultant for fast growing, multidisciplinary companies (such as automotive R&D center, chip design & manufacturing start-ups, and global retail groups), Tchiya focused on leading the companies in the fast-evolving world to effectively address the need to grow professional human capital and world class performing employees.
Tchiya holds B.Sc degree in Chemistry, M.Sc degree in Science education (applied science, learning technologies) both from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
